PEDIATRIC SERVICES
Our pediatric services unite occupational therapy and optometry services to improve the way in which the brain interprets visual information while engaging the body in motion. The occupational therapist will work with your eyecare provider to give your child the best possible treatment plan. Treatment varys to include a combination of:
- games
- unique equipment/programs
- and homework
to created the best possible outcome for your child. Examples of some of the unique therapy equipment used at Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion to help your child include:
- Visagraph
- Play Attention
- Interactive Metronome
- NVR
- and Learning Breakthrough

Handwriting Classes
Our pediatric occupational therapist also offers two handwriting classes—Handwriting Without Tears™ and Helping Hands.
The Handwriting Without Tears program is a 6 week class for children ages 6-11. It focuses on strategies and interventions for common handwriting concerns such as:
- correct letter formation
- alignment
- letter reversal
- spacing & sizing
- and correct pencil grip.
The Helping Hands program is a 6 week class for children between the ages of 4 and 5. It helps to develop fine motor/hand skills such as:
- correct crayon grip
- learning letters
- and shapes.
