Therapy Staff
Therese Molloy, OT/L, Clinic Manager
Therese Molloy is an occupational therapist who has been in practice for 28 years primarily in outpatient rehabilitation services. She was a certified “Driver Evaluator” in the State of California for seven years and subsequently developed an interest in clients with vision difficulties. Therese also brought her practical skills into the educational field as a teacher for the Kirkwood Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Currently, Therese is the Clinic Manager for Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion where she serves both adult and pediatric patients with their vision rehabilitation needs. Therese received a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from North Dakota State University and has taken numerous graduate and continuing education courses.
Carrie Paulsen, OTR/L
Carrie Paulsen has been an occupational therapist for 13 years. She has extensive pediatric experience, and has worked for the Farmington School District in Minnesota and the Heartland Area Education Agency in Johnston, Iowa. Currently, Carrie serves as a pediatric occupational therapist for Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Ambrose University.
Kimberly Torres, COTA/L
Kimberly Torres received her AAS in Occupational Therapy from Kirkwood Community College and has been practicing for 24 years. Her primary areas of interest have been in the rehabilitation and geriatric fields. Kimberly has been employed at Cedar Rapids Vision In Motion since 2010 and serves both pediatric and adult patients.
Dr. Kacie Monroe, OD
Dr. Monroe attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned her doctorate (O.D) degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. While in optometry school Dr. Monroe was active in volunteer organizations including VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), and traveled to Guanajuato, Mexico, three times to provide eye care and glasses to local residents who would not otherwise receive optometric services. Dr. Monroe also earned the David J. Kerko Low Vision Award and was honored as one of the Most Influential Women in Optical by Vision Monday magazine. Dr. Monroe completed externships at a private practice in Kentucky specializing in pediatrics and vision therapy services, and at Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute, a world renowned eye care hospital in Miami, Florida. She also attended a 100-hour training class in vision therapy with Dr. Robert Sanet in San Diego, California.
